Meet Your Care Team

Rehabilitation specialists with over 100 years of combined experience — treating disc herniation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and post-accident recovery at our Huntington, NY office.

Dr. Joseph Mills, DC — Founder of West Hills Chiropractic Pain Center

Dr. Joseph Mills, DC

Dr. Joe Mills is the founder of West Hills Chiropractic Pain Center and has been treating patients in Huntington for more than 40 years. Since opening the practice in 2012, he has built West Hills into a leading destination for non-surgical disc herniation treatment on Long Island.

Dr. Mills is a VAX-D pioneer in the region — among the first chiropractors on Long Island to bring true vertebral axial decompression to patients with herniated discs, bulging discs, and pinched nerves. He has performed thousands of decompression treatments, with many patients reporting significant pain relief after just a few weeks on the VAX-D table.

Dr. Mills takes a “whole person” approach to chiropractic care — looking for the underlying causes of pain rather than just treating symptoms. He believes that many seemingly unrelated symptoms arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and his role is to identify the root cause and create a personalized care plan tailored to each patient’s needs.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Mills and his wife MaryAnn founded the Party for Life pediatric cancer fundraiser in 1998, which has raised over $3 million for children’s cancer charities and supports families through Camp Adventure.

Dr. Tom Oddo, DC, CSCS, CEAS — Sports Rehabilitation Specialist at West Hills

Dr. Tom Oddo, DC, CSCS, CEAS

Dr. Tom Oddo is a Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) treating patients in Long Island and New York City. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and movement dysfunction.

Dr. Oddo earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Wesleyan University, where he served as captain of the 2012 New England Wrestling Association Champion wrestling team. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic Magna Cum Laude from New York Chiropractic College in 2015.

An evidence-oriented practitioner, Dr. Oddo’s continuing education includes joint mobilizations, soft tissue manipulation, rehabilitative exercise, diagnostic ultrasound, gait analysis and correction, ergonomics assessment, manipulation under anesthesia, and principles of loaded movement. He is also an adjunct professor and continuing education instructor at Northeast College of Health Sciences.

Dr. Oddo is the author of The Myth of the Standing Desk — a book that debunks common ergonomics myths and provides science-backed strategies for physical health in the digital age. At West Hills, he leads sports rehabilitation, return-to-play programs, and ergonomic assessments for active patients and athletes.

Dr. Louis Macolino, DC — Chiropractor at West Hills Chiropractic Pain Center

Dr. Louis Macolino, DC

Dr. Louis Macolino is a Doctor of Chiropractic with over 30 years of clinical experience. He earned his doctorate from New York Chiropractic College in 1994, where he completed elective coursework in meridian therapy — an approach that informs his integrated treatment style today.

Following graduation, Dr. Macolino dedicated several months to advanced study of radiological imagery, an investment that gave him a stronger diagnostic foundation than most general practice chiropractors bring to a case. He continues to pursue ongoing continuing education in chiropractic technique, soft tissue manipulation, and treatment of complex spinal conditions.

At West Hills, Dr. Macolino works alongside Dr. Mills and Dr. Oddo as part of the integrated care team — coordinating chiropractic adjustments with the broader rehabilitation, decompression, and sports rehab programs the clinic offers under one roof.

Martin P. LoCascio, Licensed Acupuncturist in Huntington, NY

Martin P. LoCascio, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac., MBA

Licensed Acupuncturist (NY) · NCCAOM Diplomate · National Board Certified in Acupuncture

With more than three decades in private practice, Martin LoCascio pairs seasoned clinical judgment with a patient-first philosophy grounded in integrative medicine. Educated at St. John’s University and the New York College for Wholistic Health Studies, he has built his career around helping people find lasting relief from chronic pain, migraines, sciatica, muscle strain, and a range of neurological conditions.

His care goes well beyond needles alone. Depending on each patient’s needs, he draws on electro-stimulation, AMMA acupressure, cold laser therapy, and TDP heat therapy to build tailored, whole-body treatment plans. Patients especially value his gentle, virtually pain-free needling technique, which keeps comfort front and center while supporting the body’s natural healing.

Martin’s commitment to Huntington reaches past the treatment room: for thirty years he has served as a volunteer Critical Care EMT on Long Island. That emergency-medicine background gives him an uncommon clinical perspective and makes him a distinctive voice in holistic care across the region.

Ashley Kornstein, Office Manager at West Hills Chiropractic Pain Center

Ashley Kornstein

Ashley Kornstein keeps West Hills running smoothly as our Office Manager. A graduate of Nassau Community College and Hunter Business School, she brings more than ten years of healthcare administrative experience — much of it earned alongside leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons in New York City.

Beyond overseeing the clinic’s day-to-day operations, Ashley also runs her own medical administration company, providing remote reception and surgical-coordination support to physician practices throughout New York.

Outside the office, she treasures time spent with her family, friends, and animals.

An Integrated Care Team

West Hills isn’t a solo chiropractic office. Our three doctors work together — coordinating treatment plans, sharing diagnostic notes, and matching the right specialty to each patient’s case. A patient with a herniated disc may see Dr. Mills for VAX-D decompression and Dr. Oddo for movement-based rehabilitation in the same week. A weekend athlete with a recurring injury may see Dr. Oddo for sports rehab and Dr. Macolino for chiropractic adjustments.

This integrated approach is why patients who haven’t responded to standard chiropractic care or PT often see results at West Hills — the right combination of techniques, applied by clinicians who collaborate rather than compete.
